Children aged below 12 years will be allowed free entrance to the state-run zoological gardens on October 01 to mark International Children's Day.
They include the Dehiwala, Pinnawala and Ridigama zoos and the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala.
Various activities to provide knowledge and entertainment will take place at these facilities for all visitors during the day, said the National Zoological Department.
