State entities have ignored a vast majority of instructions given by the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) in 2022.
The HRCSL issued 72 orders with regard to HR violations during the year, but 66 of them, or 91 percent, remain unimplemented.
In the previous year, it was 67 pc, or 59 out of 88 orders were unfulfilled.
The Committee on Public Finance (COPF) has submitted an investigation report which recommends that close attention to be paid to rectify this.
