Actress Damitha Abeyratne has demanded the SJB named her in its national list, after she was denied nominations to contest from Ratnapura.
The SJB has cited a communication issue as the reason for her omission from the district’s list of candidates.
Damitha spoke to the media yesterday (16) and said that if that had been the case, general secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara should resign and pave the way for her entry to the national list.
She also questioned the excuse given by the SJB, asking if the party had persons without communication abilities.
