The FMM has warned of strong action in the event journalist Tharindu Jayawardena gets arrested.
Its warning in a press release comes after Jayawardena wrote to acting IGP and said he suspected a plan to arrest him.
The FMM statement said the CID has told courts that Jaywardena’s investigative reporting is influencing investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks and requested an appropriate court order.
Police have the gravest challenge of ensuring justice for victims of the terror attack and should not attempt at misleading investigations, adds the FMM.
