Five girls at a school in Angoruwatota were hospitalized after developing complications due to the HPV vaccine they had been given.
A total of 26 grade seven female students of Venivelpitiya junior school were given the vaccine against cervical cancer.
Soon after, the five developed head and stomach pain and fainting and the Millaniya MoH officials admitted them to Haltota regional hospital.
