The leader of the National Freedom Front (NFF) Wimal Weeramansa calls for the naming of the person who had received a 250 million US dollar bribe to cover-up the X-Press Pearl marine disaster.
He challenged justice minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe to come out with the identity of that bribe-taker who had committed a grave crime against the country.
Weerawansa said he would raise the matter in parliament.
No interest by president, govt. to obtain compensation
Meanwhile, MP Dullas Alahapperuma said it is unfortunate the president and the government, who warn of seizing assets of university lecturers, show no interest in legal action to obtain compensation for this maritime disaster.
Alahapperuma too, asked the justice minister to reveal the name of the Sri Lankan with a Sinhala name behind the cover-up attempt.
