Leader of the National People's Power Anura Kumara Dissanayake has issued a 20 May ultimatum to his Samagi Jana Balawegaya counterpart Sajith Premadasa to choose a date for their proposed debate.
Or else, it will be considered that Sajith had fled from the debate without facing him, said Dissanayake.
The NPP gave 07, 09, 13 and 14 of May for Sajith to choose from, but none were acceptable to the SJB leader.
Dissanayake said he would forgo any other commitment and definitely attend if he was given a date.
