The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) claims that 12 MPs from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) will join with the political alliance it is going to form next month.
They will be offered positions as per the constitution of the alliance, said SJB general secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara.
A total of 30 MPs, including those from Tamil and Muslim parties, will ally with the Samagi Jana Sandhanaya, he said.
Madduma Bandara expected them all to do so once the presidential election is announced officially.
