Many may dream of becoming the president, but it is only the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) that is capable of rectifying the country’s cash shortage and worked for the people without having power in 76 years of country’s politics, said opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.
Successive presidents only attended district coordinating committee meetings, he said, promising that as the president, he will open a presidential secretariat unit at every divisional secretariat for the people to submit their problems for speedy solutions.
Premadasa was speaking at a party function in Matale.
He noted that since state revenue is inadequate to build the country, maximum investments and benefits would be derived from wealthy nations and individuals for nation building.
Sri Lanka’s agricultural sector needs to be upgraded with modern technology being used by countries such as the Netherlands and Israel, he added.
