The Industries Ministry has extended the deadline for entrepreneurs to submit details about their collapsed businesses in order for them to apply for revival loans.

Those who have been listed in the CRIB had been asked to send their details to the ministry by 30 June.

That has now been extended on the advice of minister Ramesh Pathirana, Ministry secretary Shantha Weerasinghe said.

So far, around 600 entrepreneurs, mostly from Kalutara, have submitted their details, he said.

The development finance department of the Finance Ministry implements the loan scheme on the president’s instructions.

Chairperson of Ceylon Federation of MSME Shashika de Silva urged entrepreneurs to make maximum use of the opportunity.
