Leading businessman Lalith Kotelawala has passed away, aged 84, while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.
He was the former chairman of Ceylinco Consolidated and founding chairman of Seylan Bank.
Born to senator Justice Kotelawala and Millicent Kotelawala, he was educated at Royal College, Colombo and received his chartered accountancy training in the UK.
Lalith Kotelawala was politically-victimized during the Rajapaksa regime.
