MP Dr. Gayashan Nawananda says he decided to be a strength to president Ranil Wickremesinghe after finding him to be the only leader capable of making the country strong.
President Wickremesinghe has proven by deed that he can rectify the collapsed country by taking it in the correct path.
Dr. Nawananda said that although he went on the UNP stage on May Day, he was yet to obtain membership of that party.
The decision was not taken for positions, privileges etc., he said, adding that his opinion was that there was no other alternative to build the country.
Elected to parliament from Moneragala on the SLPP ticket, he is a member of the DLF.
