Two Jaffna university students shot dead by the police in 2016 have been remembered by their colleagues.
Floral tributes were paid to photographs of Nadarasa Gajan (22) and Vijayakumar Sulakshan (24) on 20 October.
Five policemen arrested in connection in with their killing in Kokuvil were remanded by courts, but no police action has been taken against them.
The head of the Police Commission said the police shooting was unlawful, but the IGP at the time Pujith Jayasundara justified it with a claim of use of minimum force.
