The National Institute of Education has a new director general in Prof. Prasad Sethunga.
He received the appointment letter from education minister Susil Premjayantha at the ministry today (09).
Thereafter, Prof. Sethunga assumed duties in the new position at the National Institute of Education.
A graduate of Japan’s Tsukuba University, he served as a senior professor in the Education Faculty at the University of Peradeniya.
Prof. Sethunga is involved in the fields of education and professional development of teachers, interactive education and school-based teacher development programmes.
