Senior DIG of Southern province Ajith Rohana has refused to abide by the transfer order made by the Ministry of Public Security, saying that he is not bound to do so.
In a letter addressed to the ministry secretary, senior DIG Rohana said the relevant order was neither issued by the National Police Commission nor with its approval.
Therefore, the order is both illegal and unconstitutional, he claimed.
