Former SJB MP Mujibur Rahman yesterday (14) withdrew a fundamental rights petition he had filed before the Supreme Court with regard to local government polls 2023.
The relevant sought an order to the Election Commission to hold the election without any interference.
When a three-member SC bench took up the case, the lawyer for the petitioner said they did not intend to maintain this petition further.
The court accepted the request and permitted withdrawal of the petition.
