The SLPP will have a new plan to win a high number of seats at the upcoming parliamentary election, said its general secretary Sagara Kariyawasam.
The party is capable of winning back its supporters as well as the voters who had abstained at the presidential election, he said.
Party founder Basil Rajapaksa is giving advice and planning in that regard, said Kariyawasam.
The remaining one-month period is enough to convince the voters that the NPP’s claim that the SLPP had ruined the country was incorrect, he added.
