The SLPP will have its maiden public rally in the presidential election campaign in Anuradhapura on 21 August, said party MP Johnston Fernando.
Although certain SLPP leaders are allied with incumbent Ranil Wickremesinghe, people are not like that, he said.
All those who had supported him at the grassroots level are now back with the SLPP, said Fernando.
He was speaking to the media yesterday (11) during a visit to inspect arrangements at the rally’s venue at Kada Panaha in Anuradhapura.
