Rulers of many countries resort to harassing their opponents, mostly political, even to the level of making them disappear.

In actual fact, they are murders, but are termed enforced disappearances because no traces of the victims can be found.

Hitler was the most notorious ruler responsible for such disappearances, with the list also including Polpot of Cambodia, Idi Amin of Uganda, Benito Mussolini of Italy and Augusto Pinochet of Chile.

The following video is about disappearances in our own country, especially the north east.

It is said Sri Lanka ranks second in the list of highest number of enforced disappearances.
