Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa said today (08) the Samagi Jana Sandanaya has been launched to realize the aspirations of 22 million people.
The SJB-led alliance understands the sorrows, tears and pains of the people and deviates from politics of fraud and notoriety to solve their issues, he said.
He was speaking at the launch of the alliance, where MoUs were signed with the parties that support him at the presidential polls and that contest together at other elections.
The opposition leader called for the creation of a motherland of excellence and positive nature.
The country should be rescued from its divisions along racial, religious and caste lines and the next generation should be handed over a strong nation, he added.
