MP S.M. Chandrasena has described Namal Rajapaksa’s decision to contest for the presidency from the SLPP as being too hasty.
His decision is bad for both the country and the time, lankadeepa.lk quoted Chandrasena as having told the media at his Anuradhapura home.
According to him, Rajapaksa should have walked on the journey more considerately, first supporting Ranil Wickremesinghe and then contesting the general election as the prime ministerial candidate.
Chandrasena said he was very sorry that Rajapaksa had abandoned everything and entered a very difficult journey.
