Tamil political parties led by the Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) have decided to extend their support to Opposition and Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Leader Sajith Premadasa.
TPA Leader Mano Ganesan, MP, together with the party Deputy Leaders MPs P. Digambaram and V. Radhakrishnan and MPs M. Udayakumar and M. Velu Kumar have pledged their support to Sajith Premadasa, which was announced yesterday (06) during a news conference by TPA Leader Mano Ganesan.
Speaking to the media Ganesan said, “According to the unanimous decision of the Politburo of the Tamil Progressive Alliance, we would like to state that we will give our fullest support and full participation to the Leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Sajith Premadasa, for this year’s Presidential Election.
According to the decision of the Politburo, we have reached a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.”
MP Ganesan further said that the TPA Politburo believes that the SJB led by Premadasa is the best platform to achieve the goals stated in the MoU between the TPA and SJB.
