The Ilankai Thamil Arasu Katchchi (ITAK) will not nominate a candidate for the upcoming Presidential Election, said Tamil National Alliance (TNA) MP M.A. Sumanthiran.
According to Sumanthiran, the party will still hold discussions with the main candidates.
However, several Tamil political parties and civil society activists recently signed an agreement to field a common Tamil candidate for the upcoming Sri Lankan Presidential Election.
