The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) is yet to decide whether to field Dhammika Perera as its candidate at the upcoming presidential polls, said party MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage.
Speaking to the media, he said president Ranil Wickremesinghe, SLPP founder Basil Rajapaksa and others met on Monday too, to discuss the election.
Meanwhile, Dhammika Perera says he will consider it if the SLPP offers to field him as its candidate.
However, he rules out contesting if incumbent Wickremesinghe contests.
