The court of appeal will take up for consideration on 15 July a writ petition filed by model Piumi Hansamali against her being investigated by the CID, according to Lankadeepa.
She is seeking an order to suspend the ongoing probe into her asset acquisitions.
The respondents cited in the case are the IGP, the CID director, the director of CID’s illegal assets investigations division and several others.
