A song dedicated to president Ranil Wickremesinghe titled “Ranil, The Leader we need…,” has been created within short period of 24 hours.
The ROAD, a group of youths propagating democracy, accountability and economic stability, is behind the song on the theme ‘reforms of accountability and democracy.’
The song describes how Wickremesinghe took over an economically and political unstable country when all others shied away from responsibilities and managed to steer the country towards the correct path and some sort of stability within a short period.
That has been compared to a captain taking his ship about to sink, away from a massive storm and reaching calm seas.
The song implies that he has the qualities of correct leadership and ability to take the country in the correct path.
