The faction led by Nimal Siripala de Silva has decided to boycott a meeting convened by Thilanga Sumathipala to resolve the internal crisis in the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
The meeting was due to begin at 3.00 pm today (25) at the UPFA head office in Colombo.
Sumathipala sent invites to all MPs, former local government members and electoral organizers of the party.
Accordingly, absent at the meeting will be Siripala faction’s Duminda Dissanayake, Mahinda Amaraweera, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Jagath Pushpakumara, Suren Raghavan and Angajan Ramanathan.
