Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa has ridiculed the government over its purported claim of building the country even after failing to provide a quality meal for schoolchildren.
The union leader of public health inspectors has revealed that part of the rice allotted for schoolchildren’s midday meal was low quality and infested with insects, he said.
Premadasa was speaking after handing over a smart classroom to Ihalabeligalla Maha Vidyalaya in Beliatta today (23).
He said further that various conspiracies and fighting occur due to the greed of power, while the country’s 10,126 schools remain neglected.
