The funeral of Dr. A.T. Ariyaratne, the founder of the Sarvodaya Movement, will take place on Saturday at Independence Square with state honours.
He passed away, aged 92, at a private hospital in Panadura yesterday evening (16).
The ministry of public administration will arrange for his funeral.
The remains will be kept at the Sarvodaya headquarters in Moratuwa for the public to pay their last respects.
