President Ranil Wickremesinghe left for China last night (15) on a four-day official visit.
He will be attending the global gathering ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ in Beijing.
In the president’s absence, several state ministers will serve in acting capacities.
They are Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon (defence), Ranjith Siyambalapitiya (finance), Kanaka Herath (technology and investment promotion), Anupa Pasquel (women, children’s affairs and social empowerment) and Pavitra Wanniarachchi (environment).
