MP Namal Rajapaksa will get his “due returns with arrears” on the day his father is no more for what he has done, said SJB spokesman S.M. Marikkar at a media briefing.
“Be careful once Mr. Mahinda dies,” Marikkar warned, asking if a single SLPP MP was capable of holding a meeting or distributing flood aid in the villages.
According to him, Namal Rajapaksa attends meetings only where confirmed lackeys are present because he is afraid of the people.
“How were they three years ago and how they are now? In hiding,” said the SJB MP.
He also said that even in defeat, his party has sizeable recognition, which could help organize itself to form a government.
Claiming that the patience of the people has now reached its limit, Marikkar said the SJB was prepared to give leadership to an uprising by them.
