Minister Prasanna Ranatunga told a political meeting in Udugampola this morning (30) that people should not even think of handing the country to an inexperienced leader.
The country can be revived by a veteran leader only, he stressed.
Ranatunga noted that the SLPP just ignored him when he opposed fielding Gotabaya Rajapaksa as their presidential candidate.
Noting that it is the leaders of the party who made Ranil Wickremesinghe the president, Ranatunga said the MPs only extended them the support required.
He added that he works for the people, and not for Wickremesinghe.
