Ex-presidents Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Mahinda Rajapaksa were among those who paid their last respects to veteran actor Jackson Anthony yesterday (10).
The former met the bereaving family and extended his condolences at a private funeral parlour at Bauddhaloka Mawatha in Colombo.
Meanwhile, Mahinda Rajapaksa spoke to the media about the loss of the award-winning actor.
People in their numbers were seen gathered in long queues to pay their last respects to the 65-year-old Anthony.
The remains were due to be taken today to his home at Kadawatha, with the funeral taking place tomorrow at St. Paul’s Church at Ragama.
Anthony’s daughter Madhavi Wathsala spoke to the media about the funeral arrangements.
