The attorney general has expressed his intentions to deliver justice for the victims of the Easter Sunday terror attacks.

It came when the related petition was taken up by a three-judge High Court panel yesterday (10), where the 24 accused on 23,270 counts were present.

The hearing began with submissions by additional solicitor general Haripriya Jayasundara on behalf of the AG.

She said evidence will be presented at length on how Islamic extremism has taken root, its organized nature and its gathering of explosives etc.

It was followed by an employee of Shangrila Hotel where one of the bomb blasts occurred testifying before the judges.

She said she identified Zahran Hashim walking near her before the explosion happened.

Further hearings were postponed for today.
