Certain government MPs are planning to boycott the no-confidence motion moved by the opposition against health minister Keheliya Rambukwella.
After coming to know about that, president Ranil Wickremesinghe has told ruling MPs to refrain from leaving the country in the coming week when the motion is taken up for debate.
The government has agreed to a request by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) to hold the debate for two or three days.
