The investigation into the latest site claimed to be a mass grave has been postponed indefinitely.
Officers from the Archaeology Department, responsible for the excavations at Kokku Thuduvai, were absent at a court hearing on 07 July.
Mullaitivu district court judge T. Pradeepan ordered that a report into excavation expenditure be submitted at the next hearing on 08 August.
A decision on further excavations, following the finding of several human skeletal remains during the first excavation three weeks ago, remains undecided.
