Veteran actor, screenwriter and lyricist W. Jayasiri has passed away, aged 77.
He was an acclaimed and popular figure in films, stage-plays and tele dramas.
Very recently, he wished that he would be alive to see how NPP’s Anura Kumara Dissanayake won the presidential election and changed the course of the country.
Joining Gemunu Wanninayake’s ‘Mathaka Pada’ YouTube channel, Jayasiri had said that Dissanayake’s victory would be the beginning of a new change expected by the people.
