President Ranil Wickremesinghe was hosted by Indian minister of external affairs Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar for a one-on-one meeting yesterday (20), the President’s Media Division said.
President Wickremesinghe arrived in New Delhi earlier in the day on a two-day official visit at the invitation of prime minister Narendra Modi.
This is his first visit to India since taking office in 2022.
The visit takes place as the two countries mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
