The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MPs yesterday (20) signed a no-confidence motion against health minister Keheliya Rambukwella.
The party said it was moving the motion due to his irresponsible importation of substandard medicines and medical equipment and thereby causing the death of several patients.
Speaking in parliament, opposition leader Sajith Premadasa urged government MPs to sign the motion if they had a backbone as elected representatives of the people.
