The Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) held talks with US Ambassador Julie Chung on the challenges faced by Sri Lanka’s Hill Country community.
The TPA's views on ensuring fulsome representation in government and decision-making were also discussed.
Meanwhile, the US Ambassador also met CWC General Secretary and Minister of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development Jeevan Thondaman to discuss ways to expand economic opportunities for Hill Country Tamils as well as the steps taken by the government to address their needs.
