Two plainclothes policemen went to the home of Batticaloa Tamil Journalists’ Association on November 27 and made inquiries of his whereabouts, said Journalists for Democracy – Sri Lanka.

They had demanded his presence at the Counter Terrorism and Terrorism Investigation Department (CTID) once he returned to Sri Lanka, JDS added.

On the previous day, a man claiming to be from the Kokuvil police had visited the home of Batticaloa civil society forum’s chairman S. Sivayoganathan.

He had inquired from Sivayoganathan about his Maaveerar Naal preparations.
