He told journalists yesterday (02) that pimples and excessive growth of hair in the face are seen among most users in milder cases.
In worst case scenarios, bleaching cream could even increase pressure in the eyes and lead to glaucoma, said Dr. Hulangamuwa.
Uses without medical guidance and applying substandard products in the long-term is very harmful to the skin as well as to internal organs like kidneys and the liver, he noted.
