The newest political grouping in Sri Lanka, the Liberal Democratic Movement (LDM), has held an inaugural awareness event for professionals at its headquarters.
Convener of the LDM Rasika Jayakody, secretary Amal Randeniya, financial and capital market specialist Chandu Epitawala and IT entrepreneur Pulani Ranasinghe attended.
On the occasion, awareness was raised on the LDM’s vision, political and economic policies and the reforms required.
The new movement intends to bring about an extensive political and social transformation based on liberal principles.
Randeniya, its secretary and a lawyer by profession, told the gathering that people of every social sphere would be educated and organized to achieve the objective.
