Tamil and Muslim parties are having talks on forming a common alliance to contest the upcoming general election.
A second round of talks was due to take place yesterday, reports adaderana.lk.
Among the participants are Tamil Progressive alliance leader Mano Ganeshan, leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) Rauff Hakeem and Tamil National Alliance spokesman M.A. Sumanthiran.
The TPA and the SLMC are presently affiliates of the SJB-led alliance.
The TNA supported Samagi Jana Balawegaya candidate Sajith Premadasa at the recent presidential polls.
