The SLPP is inviting its former local government members who had allied with Ranil Wickremesinghe during the presidential polls to return to the party.
National organizer Namal Rajapaksa said this would be part of party reforms in time for the upcoming general election.
Youths with talent will be given more opportunities to contest, he added.
