Prime minister Dinesh Gunawardena will be the chairman of the alliance proposed by the SLPP MPs who support president Ranil Wickremesinghe, lankadeepa.lk reported.
A preliminary discussion on its formation was discussed at Temple Trees today (20), with Gunawardena at the chair.
The composition of the office-bearers and the executive council and obtaining support from other parties came under discussion.
We will contest the future elections under this alliance as well, said a senior spokesman for those MPs.
It is open also for the local government members of the SLPP who want to support Wickremesinghe, added the spokesman.
