The country needs politics of principles and not the opportunistic parties that keep their saloon doors open for anyone to enter, said NPP presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
He was speaking at a party rally in Thihariya, Gampaha.
Dissanayake said the country is in need of a system change from rampant corruption, fraud, swindling and irregularities.
Despite the people having given vent to their pains for more than two years now, no change has taken place so far.
Now, they have an opportunity on 21 September, to create that change themselves, said the NPP candidate.
