The launch of the SJB-led political alliance will take place on 08 August, said the party’s general secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara.
The Samagi Jana Sandhanaya will comprise corrupt-free, political veterans and parties representing the Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim and Burgher communities, he told the media at the opposition leader’s office today (23).
In all, it will have more than 30 MPs newly-added from those parties.
The policy framework of the alliance will answer all issues in the country, said Madduma Bandara.
Sajith Premadasa will contest the presidential polls under the ‘telephone’ symbol, he added.
