The first in a series of debates among presidential candidates will take place today (07), from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm, at the BMICH in Colombo.
Organized by March 12 Movement, it will be carried live by all leading television channels and more than 200 social media channels, PAFFREL executive director Rohana Hettirachchi said.
Participating in today’s debate will be Sajith Premadasa, Dilith Jayaweera, Namal Rajapaksa and P. Ariyanethran.
Hettiarachchi said they still hoped Anura Kumara Dissanayake would take time off his busy schedule and participate in the debate.
Ranil Wickremesinghe has informed organizers about his inability to attend, he added.
