A SJB government will provide quality education to students, where they will have the opportunity to pursue subjects to their liking, said opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.
With such opportunities in place, foreign degree education will no longer be necessary, and that will save foreign exchange to the country as well, he said.
He charged that certain persons, whose children go to private and international universities, call for free education only.
So do the so-called socialists who demand education to be a state monopoly, said Premadasa.
He was speaking at Sri Lankeswara Kanishta Vidyalaya at Kumbaloluwa in Gampaha, which was donated smart classroom equipment and dictionaries.
